Flue Pipes Direct is a metal fabricating workshop which has established itself as a manufacturer and supplier of quality stainless steel flue pipe products.

It is a part of County Enterprises, which is a service within Worcestershire County Council providing supported employment for people with learning and physical disabilities.

Originating in Worcester in 1978 County Enterprises offered packing and assembly services before opening its onsite metal fabricating workshop producing stainless steel flue pipe products. The current service employs 25 people and is located on a self-contained site in Worcester city in the shadow of Worcester Cathedral.

Packaging and Assembly

The Packing and Assembly Services are provided to a number of private and public sector clients. Services include:

· Sorting and bagging

· Assembling and testing

· Labelling and packing

County Enterprises and Flue Pipes Direct quality policy is to provide total customer satisfaction within a professionally operated works quality system when providing a customer service.

Quality System

To achieve this result, the company has adopted a policy of operating a coordinated Quality System to the requirements of BS EN 1856-2

These standards are audited by SGS, an external Quality Assessment Body, on a regular timescale throughout each year to assess the administration of BS EN 1856-2 and confirm that the standards are performed correctly within County Enterprises.

The management and employees are trained to operate within a defined Quality System as laid down in the Quality Manual. County Enterprises management ensures that responsibilities and authorities are clearly defined within an effective structure and the control of the Quality System is by the managers and staff who each have clearly defined responsibilities for operating the Quality System.

COMPLIANCE

County Enterprises shall ensure that it will comply with the statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to all its operations.

County Enterprises’ policy is a summation of the scope of the Management Quality System, and commitment to implement the Quality Manual and Procedures to provide products and service of the highest quality.

Management shall promote an awareness of quality and the need for continual improvement in staff skills and service provision; continual improvement shall be demonstrated as part of the Management System.
